1. Scope and operator
This policy explains how SurvUp and its operator handle information through the SurvUp browser extension, website, and related services. SurvUp is an independent tool and is not operated by the survey platforms it supports.
2. Information stored locally
The extension may store settings, survey attempts, provider statistics, availability snapshots, and earnings history in your browser. Guest features can operate locally without a SurvUp account.
3. Account information
If you sign in with Google, SurvUp receives the account identifiers needed to authenticate you, such as your Google-provided user ID and email address. SurvUp does not receive your Google password.
4. Optional community contribution
Community contribution is off until you enable it. When enabled while signed in, SurvUp may link your account and an extension installation identifier to:
- Survey platform and external provider identifiers
- Survey identifiers when detectable
- Start, completion, and resolution times and timezone offset
- Expected duration and reward
- Credited reward
- Completion, screen-out, incomplete, neutral, or pending outcome
- Aggregated survey-availability observations
- Extension version and last-seen time
SurvUp does not intentionally collect survey answers, passwords, personal messages, or the contents of survey pages.
5. Website technical data
When you visit the SurvUp website, hosting and security providers may process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested URL, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs. SurvUp does not currently use third-party behavioral advertising trackers.
6. How information is used
We use information to provide personal history, calculate provider and platform statistics, improve detection reliability, prevent duplicate records, secure and troubleshoot the service, respond to requests, and develop community insights.
7. Service providers
SurvUp uses service providers to operate the product, including Supabase for authentication and database services, Google for sign-in, GitHub for source hosting, and Vercel for website hosting. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
8. Sharing, selling, and tracking signals
SurvUp does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information to service providers as needed to operate the product, comply with law, protect users and the service, or complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. Because SurvUp does not engage in that advertising activity, it does not currently take separate action in response to browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals.
9. Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you delete it, clear browser storage, or uninstall the extension. Account-linked contribution data is kept while reasonably needed to provide and improve SurvUp, until you delete it or request deletion, or as needed for legal, fraud-prevention, and security purposes. Provider logs and backups may follow provider retention schedules. Aggregated or de-identified statistics that no longer relate to your account may remain. See our Data Deletion page for details.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections and account-based database access controls. No system can guarantee absolute security.
11. Your choices and requests
You may use Guest features without an account, disable community contribution, sign out, delete SurvUp data, or uninstall the extension. You may also request access to, correction of, a copy of, or deletion of account-linked information through the Support page. Applicable law may provide additional rights.
12. Children
SurvUp is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
13. Chrome and Google API Limited Use
SurvUp's use of information received from Google APIs and Chrome extension APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
14. Changes
We may update this policy as SurvUp changes. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice.
